Hoover for the home – does a robotic cleaner make sense?

Read Time:1 Minute, 39 Second

Looking to buy a new hoover? Prepare yourself for the fact that today’s market has a truly impressive selection to offer. Under the umbrella of the traditional hoover, there is a wide variety of models with different functions. So-called cleaning robots are also very popular, of course. We therefore suggest what to look out for when choosing a hoover.

Cleaning robot

The cleaning robot is certainly not only a fashionable and designer gadget, but above all a functional device. The device is small and takes up little space (even taking into account the fact that it needs a base in which to charge). Automatic robots are intelligent; this is because they are equipped with the right software and sensors. As a result, they familiarise themselves with the layout of the room, are able to avoid obstacles and will not fall down stairs.

Most models can also handle carpets and drive onto them without any problems. In addition, the robots can be operated via mobile apps and run even when no one is home. There is no denying that this is a very convenient solution. Instead of cleaning – you come home to a clean house or let the hoover clean the flat while you cook or go shopping.

Traditional hoover

Appliances such as a handheld hoover are very versatile, as they allow different surfaces (for example, a sofa, an armchair, etc.) to be cleaned. The user decides for themselves which area requires more thorough vacuuming. Upright hoovers and traditional hoovers make it possible to clean even very fluffy carpets that a cleaning robot would not be able to drive on.

These are functional hoovers, usually equipped with additional attachments such as a short crevice nozzle, brush nozzle, crevice brush, flat brush, round brush, upholstery brush, universal brush, multi-purpose brush, car brush, floor nozzle, laundry nozzles (small nozzle and large carpet nozzle), etc. It is also possible to adjust the suction power and the telescopic tube allows for comfortable use.
